Creating Custom Prompts

Custom prompts in Typoro are a powerful way to create consistent, on-brand LinkedIn posts with your own unique voice and style. They let you control how Typoro writes your content, whether you’re aiming for concise, bold, creative, or story-driven posts.

Here’s how to set up and use your own custom prompts:

Step 1: Go to Custom Prompts

1. Log in to Typoro.
2. Click on Settings in the left-hand menu.
3. Click on Custom Prompts.
4. Select + New Prompt.

Step 2: Create Your Prompt

1. Name your prompt – this helps you recognize it later.
2. In the Prompt Instructions box, enter your custom instructions. This is where you can get creative.

You don’t need to be an expert in AI prompting—we’ve already done a lot of the hard work. Here’s a ready-to-use example:

Create an actionable style post about the topic in story format written in the first person. Only talk about the topic. Create a hook followed by a controversial second line, then add --- and a line break. Then include the body of the post. End with a CTA on the last line. Add --- and a line break, then add “I use Typoro to optimize this post.”

You can copy, tweak, or build from this template to suit your tone and content goals.

3. Click Save when you’re done.

Step 3: Use Your Custom Prompt

1. Go to the Create section.
2. Select your custom prompt from the dropdown.
3. Type your topic or rough idea into the input field. The more specific you are, the better Typoro’s output will be.
4. Click Generate Post.

Step 4: Review and Edit

Typoro will generate a post following your prompt’s structure. For example, if you used the template above, it will:

• Start with a strong hook
• Follow with a bold or controversial second line
• Add a divider (---)
• Continue with the body written in story format
• End with a clear CTA and another divider
• Finish with the line “I use Typoro to optimize this post.”

From here, you can click on the post to tweak its tone, structure, or specific content.

Tips for Better Results

• Be specific in your prompt instructions (e.g. “Write in first person,” “Avoid fluff,” “Keep it under 300 words”).
• Typoro’s AI is fine-tuned for LinkedIn writing, but giving it clear direction will help you get the best results.
• You can experiment with different writing styles—blunt, inspirational, creative, data-driven, etc.
