LinkedIn Authentication FAQs
Why does Typoro need to connect to my LinkedIn account?
Typoro needs permission to access your LinkedIn account and use LinkedIn’s official API to schedule and publish your posts. We don't post anything without your action; you’re always in control.
Is this safe? Can Typoro get me banned from LinkedIn?
Typoro is not an automation tool. We use LinkedIn’s official Community Management API, which means:
- We were reviewed and approved by LinkedIn.
- We never mimic your activity or use your cookies.
- Everything is posted through LinkedIn’s secure system.
It’s the same approach used by trusted tools like Buffer or Hootsuite. Using Typoro won't put your account at risk.
What permissions am I giving Typoro?
You’re allowing Typoro to:
- Create and schedule posts on your behalf.
- Access basic profile info (like your name and profile image).
That’s it. We don’t read your messages, access your connections, or do anything shady.
Do you see or store my LinkedIn password?
Nope. You’re redirected to LinkedIn’s secure login screen when you connect your account. Typoro never sees, stores, or has access to your password.
Can I disconnect Typoro from LinkedIn?
Yes, anytime. You can revoke Typoro’s access from your LinkedIn account settings. We also give you the option to disconnect inside Typoro. To disconnect Typoro from LinkedIn, you can either revoke it in Typoro's settings or revoke it in LinkedIn's settings.
I’ve used automation tools before. How is this different?
Automation tools:
- Imitate your behavior (e.g., auto-connecting, messaging).
- Use your cookies or browser session.
- Break LinkedIn’s Terms of Service.
Doing the above can get you banned.
Typoro:
- Typoro uses LinkedIn’s official API.
- LinkedIn approved Typoro via manual review.
Typoro is fully compliant and safe to use.
TLDR
Connecting your LinkedIn account through Typoro is safe, secure, and fully approved by LinkedIn. We don’t do anything weird in the background and never will.
